Giving the locals what they want! When we are on vacation at
our beach front apartment in Dorado Puerto Rico; I always look out the window
early in the morning and see the locals with their coolers walking down to the
beach.We have two apartments we rent in Dorado and do have vacancies. So why not make the apartments available to the locals for daily use! This was a great idea so I spoke with my cleaning and management team and we decided to open the rentals up to the locals at daily rates.
Daily rate check-in is 9AM, check-out is 6PM with refundable reservation/security deposit and same 2.9% credit card processing fee for those that which to charge their rentals with major credit cards.
The daily rates are as follow:

Puerto Ricans love to take to the beach on weekends and
making the rentals available to them at daily rates makes it more flexible for
them to get in on Fridays at 9am and leave on Sunday nights by 6pm. This gives
them the opportunity to enjoy the beach and all Dorado has to offer and be back
at their jobs on Monday.
This is something all property owners can adapt provided
they have the flexibility to do so as we do since we have two rentals. We keep
one available to the locals and the other for our traveling and corporate
